Chungcheongnam-do Office of Education and Education Research and Information Institute is designed so that it can naturally fit in as part of the administrative town, along with the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Office and Chungnam Provincial Policy Agency.

An open space is planned in consideration of the green zone in the south and it is arranged to correspond with symbolic streets and community streets. Moreover, as an education icon in Chungnam province, an integrated facility shared by the two institutes is planned for more efficient connections. The motive for the Office of Education was a ‘bookshelf,’ while the symbol for the Education Research and Information Institute was a ‘stack of books.’ These motives were colorfully reflected on the standing walls of the buildings.

A green business space is established with natural lighting and ventilation. A sense of openness is maximized for the Education Research and Information Institute with a courtyard linked to the pilotis. Lastly, an eco-friendly rooftop garden is established to build a green network that connects the two institutes.
