Seunsangga was the first complex building that after opening in the 1960s was a forerunner in the advancement of the electronics and electric industry until the 1980s. However, due to ageing of not only the building but also the industry it is currently in an inactive state.
It is located in the center of Seoul and where several cultural artifacts and transport links are concentrated. Hence, it is a place where it has great potential to heighten activity. With the aim of reviving the dynamic and energy filled space and with the basic concept of “the city’s open platform” in mind the design’s fundamental directions comprise of walkway, industrial, communal revivals.

From Eulji-ro to Toegye-ro the first floor walkway that stretches through the north-south and the east-west axis in addition to the use of the third floor public deck and walk way a three-dimensional walkway system was regenerated. The project aims to achieve industrial regeneration through the planning of the program cell cube and through the maintenance of the aged infrastructural environment.
Community regeneration is achieved by providing resting and public spaces that allows people to gather and stay, and this will revitalize the area.
